SKIN

SKIN is a series of video paintings that investigate how we age, how we see age and how we see more slowly as we age. Framed as paintings the images are partial portraits informed by traditional use of light, shadow and representation.

Skin is an interdisciplinary examination of the body and media, from my interest in media as a hyrbid between painting and video.

Skin was shown framed as a new work entitled Partial Portraits. Partial Portraits is a series of video paintings that investigate how we age, how we see age and how we see more slowly as we age. Framed as paintings and informed by a traditional use of light and shadow the video portraits move so slowly that the audience may question whether they have moved at all.
